Ahead of your visit on Thursday, Scarborough Cricket Club have produced the following match guide for all attendees…
1. TIMINGS FOR THE DAY
09.15 – Scarborough and Yorkshire Members
09.30 – All other ticket holders and walk ins.
The stewards will let you know if there are any unforeseen changes to these plans.
Hours of Play
The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.
11.00 – Start of play
14.30 (approx) – Interval between innings. (30 minutes)
18.30 – Scheduled Close of Play
2. TRAVEL AND ENTRY TO NORTH MARINE ROAD
Before You Leave
First and foremost, if you (or your guests) find yourself feeling unwell on the morning of the match, please do not come to the ground.
Details of train timetables are available on the Transpennine and Northern Trains websites.
Park and ride service will be operating from Seamer Road . Details are on the Scarborough Council Website.
NHS Test and Trace
On entry, you will be asked if you wish to complete a venue check-in via the NHS COVID-19 Test and Trace App. QR codes will be on display around the Ground so you can do this once you are inside if you prefer.
For those without access to the NHS COVID App, alternative arrangements will also be made available should you wish to check in. Please ask a steward for help if required.
We will be operating a policy of “Masks on the Move”, meaning that face coverings are recommended to be worn (unless you are exempt) when moving around the Ground but not while seated. Please also make use of the hand sanitisers around the Ground.
Social distancing will not be enforced but please be considerate of those around you and take sensible precautions as the Ground will be busy.
We will continue our increased hygiene and cleaning measures,
Access onto the Playing Surface/Pitch is not allowed at anytime during the Match
Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures.
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the Club’s stewards. Help Scarborough CC stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.
Leaving the Ground
The pass out facility will be available to spectators throughout the day for those wishing to leave and re-enter the Ground during a match.
We ask the all members and other spectators leave the Ground promptly at the conclusion of the match. Please follow the instructions from our stewards when doing so. As we may seek to reduce congestion on exit by staggering departure times from particular areas.
The pavilion will become a secure bubble for the players and officials of both teams. As a result there will be no access to the Pavilion for YCCC and Scarborough Members.
There will also be no access to the seating in the enclosure to the front of the Pavilion for YCCC members and Scarborough members.
4. FOOD AND DRINK
To help ease congestion around our food and drink outlets (Most of which are operating on a CASHLESS basis), we encourage you to bring your own supplies with you, should you wish.
Please Note, Most bars will be operating on a CASHLESS Basis. The WEST STAND BAR ONLY will operate CASH and CASHLESS transactions.
5. MEMBERSHIP AND TICKETING ENQUIRIES
Membership and Ticketing Enquiries
Tickets will not be available for purchase from the office on the day of the game. We strongly advise everyone to purchase tickets in advance through the Scarborough Cricket Club office 01723 365625 email@example.com or on the link below.
Please Note: Entrances to the ground via Trafalgar Road End and Woodhall Avenue will be CASHLESS. A cash turn style will be available at the main entrance.
6. OTHER FACILITIES
Scorecards will be available from areas on the main concourse as spectators enter the Ground. Price £1.00
7. WHEN TO SEEK HELP
Help our stewards to help you
Scarborough Cricket club wants every spectator to have a really good day at North Marine Road. However if you do encounter a problem, please talk to the stewards. After every match, the Club receives correspondence from Members and other spectators regarding matters which could –and should –have been dealt with promptly and appropriately on the day. Whatever the issue, please don’t suffer in silence.
Wait until a break in play to leave or return to your seat
Movement whilst an over is in progress is probably the commonest single subject raised by Members and spectators, yet it is one of the trickier issues for stewards to have to deal with. By the time an incident has occurred, it is too late to have prevented it and the behaviour often becomes contagious within the vicinity. Please be considerate of your fellow spectators by waiting until the end of the over or suitable break in play before vacating or returning to your seat.
