Headingley has been hosting international cricket since 1899 and in 2017 the famous old ground will host two internationals.
The historic venue will stage the first Royal London One Day International between England and South Africa under floodllights on Wednesday 24th May. Later in the summer England will host West Indies in the second Investec Test Match between Friday 25th August and Tuesday 29th August.

History Timeline

Headingley Cricket Ground has been home to The Yorkshire County Cricket Club since 1890 and a venue for Test Matches since 1899.
From the staging the England versus Australia Test Match in 1899 to this summer’s first ever Test Match at the venue between England and Sri Lanka, Headingley has hosted 73 Tests.
England have won 31 times at Yorkshire’s home with 23 defeats and 18 draws. Headingley has hosted one neutral Test in 2010, when Pakistan defeated Australia. Read about the great moments down the years.
